Welcome to the Pink Masquerade

Prologue
“Everything is dark, but pink that stands out
Paint everything to pink
And soon we will welcome you to
The pink masquerade”

Chapter 1

“The book has been placed and we are waiting for the day...” A man smiled in the darkness of the room
“Yes my lord... But will anyone pick up that book?” asked another man
“You fool! Of course someone will, since it is MY masterpiece!” the man in the darkness yelled.
“I am truly sorry, my lord...” the man, who was yelled at, apologized.
“And now we wait...”

A boy of around the age of seven picks up a book from the outskirts of his hometown. He is a curious little boy, who roams around town looking at unique objects that he had never seen before.

“What’s this book doing here? Its cover is pitch black as the night, but the words on the cover is decorated with the color pink...”
The young boy mumbled to himself as he examined the book. ‘Did someone drop it on purpose, or did someone loose it? Would I dare myself to open the book?’

Questions popped up in the boy’s head if he should or should not open the book.
A few decisions later, the boy opened the book. He examined the cover page and the next; finally reaching the first chapter of the book.
~~~~~~~~~~
Once upon a time, in a kingdom nearby, lived a man named Rae. The man, Rae, was very cheerful and very helpful to others around him. He walked around in the kingdom, called Lollipop Kingdom, helping those in need.
Lollipop Kingdom was known for worshipping all the beautiful colors that were known, besides pink and black. They called those colors the “seductive” colors. Whoever wore those “seductive” colors, were immediately taken as a non-human.
Rae walked around the kingdom to help anyone in need. Anyone, who were helped by the man, worshipped him as a savior. Even though Rae helped others, he was also just a poor, hopeless man like everyone else, but that did not stop him from helping others in need.
There were a lot of people who hated Rae, but they were just jealous at how popular and famous the man had gotten just by helping others. Those people who hated Rae, bullied him and punished him, but the man did not stop helping the others.
Then one day, in the peaceful kingdom of Lollipop Kingdom, came a boy, around the age of nineteen, in the colors of black and pink. The boy wore a hot pink Chinese collared jacket, under it he wore a black shirt. He also wore black pants and a lot of accessories including his shiny, decorated black hat to burn every body's eyes.
“Gross! You’re wearing pink!” the children screamed in terror as they threw rocks at the hideous pink creature.
“Everyone! Hide!” men and women yelled to the people of Lollipop Kingdom.
Rae thought to himself, ‘Why hide? Just because a certain person, wearing the excluded colors of Lollipop Kingdom, doesn’t mean he is harmful...’
But he wouldn’t dare to say that to the people he worked and helped for...
~~~~~~~~~~
The boy, reading the book, thought to himself, ‘Why was this so called hideous pink creature barging in Lollipop Kingdom, ruining people’s eyes? Is it my mother when she wears her so called party dress? She definitely looks horrid in them...’
The boy closed the book and looked at the cover; it was called “Welcome to the Pink Masquerade”

Chapter 2

The boy came home, carrying the book in his arms.
“I can’t wait to read more,” the boy smiled to himself as he ran into his room.
As soon as he jumped on his bed, he opened the book to continue reading where he had left off.
~~~~~~~~~~
 “Stop throwing rocks at me you useless fools!” the hideous pink creature yelled.
All the villagers grabbed their children and ran back to their stores or homes.
“Much better, I thought I was going to get my new clothes ruined” the pink creature patted himself to get rid of the dirt off of himself.
“What is a Party Monstar, like you, doing here?” a man yelled.
“What? I’m just passing by. Calm down” the small man in pink said.
“Hurry up and leave! That color is hurting my eyes” a woman said.
The small man tossed up red papers. “You are all invited to Party Monstar Kingdom!”
All the villagers cringed at the sight.
“If you don’t come, then may the fire burn your kingdom!” the man laughed. “See you soon~”
The hideous pink boy tossed more of those red papers as he ran back towards the road to Party Monstar Kingdom.
“What should we do?” the villagers whispered amongst each other.
No one knew what to do, but Rae picked up the red piece of paper. “It’s an invitation.”
“Rae! Put that paper down!” a friend of Rae’s yelled.
“If you don’t want the kingdom to become a pool of fire, we have to do what they say, Pein.” Rae said to his friend.
Pein is Rae’s closest friend, who like wearing hats and huge shirts. He likes to wear light colors like white or beige. He may be short, but he is the same age as Rae, twenty-five.
All the villagers whispered amongst each other. They didn’t know what to do. The king of Lollipop Kingdom was too lazy and cheerful to do anything, so he’s useless.
“Let’s follow Rae’s decision!” A female said.
“Mao, don’t be ridiculous!” Pein yelled. “Rae, this could be a prank. You know how much Party Monstar Kingdom loves to pull pranks on Lollipop Kingdom.”
Mao, Rae’s younger sister, who always follows her brother’s opinions never, stops to think, but go for the kill. She tends to love pop out of nowhere, one second she could be next to you, the next she’s already running around playing with the kids in the kingdom. She loves to wear dark colors, but never the “seductive” colors.
“Pein, if it’s to save the kingdom without the help from our worthless king, Jon, who always stays hidden in his castle feeling all high and mighty, then we might as well save it ourselves” Mao said as she picked up one of the red invitation cards.
Many of the villagers nodded amongst each other, probably meaning they decided to follow Rae’s decision.
“I guess we have no choice...” the villagers said.
~~~~~~~~~~
The boy stopped reading the book since his mother had called him down for dinner, but what he didn’t know was that in his village, too, were invited to a party or a masquerade.

Chapter 3

~~~~~~~~~~
The very next day, a different creature wearing pink gloves and black clothing, came into Lollipop Kingdom.
“I see that all of you have either picked up our invitation or thrown them away. Here are the rules and dress code you must follow” the short man wearing pink gloves and black clothing said.
“One. Children from the ages of sixteen and younger, also including elders, are to stay in the household until seventeen and adults come back from our party.
Two. The dress code is strict and must be followed. The theme of the party is pink and black.
And three. If none of the rules and dress code is followed, may the kingdom burn to death. That is all. If any of you are to flee, may the kingdom burn. If any of you hide, may the kingdom burn with you.”
The villagers shook in fear. They did not want to lose their precious living they have finally got to.
“Hope to see you all soon... Alive” the man with the pink glove said before posting the rules and codes on the bulletin in Gum Drop Square.
“Why? Why must we suffer because of those Party Monstar’s? We came here to live in peace, not in hell!” a newlywed yelled.
No one was able to answer that. No one knew why the Party Monstar Kingdom was always picking on them. The closest kingdom to Party Monstar Kingdom was the LED Ghosty Kingdom and they both do not get along, but why must Party Monstar Kingdom attack a happy society like Lollipop Kingdom?’
~~~~~~~~~~
The boy wondered also why Party Monstar Kingdom always pulled pranks on Lollipop Kingdom.
“Well maybe because Lollipop Kingdom hates the colors of pink and black, while Party Monstar Kingdom does? Or what if Party Monstar Kingdom just likes to pull pranks on happy, peaceful people?
~~~~~~~~~~
“My lord, it seems as if someone had taken the book...” a man said.
“I told you so!” the man in the darkness laughed.
“But what if someone took the book, but threw it away?”
“Why would anyone throw away MY BOOK? Are you kidding me, Shine?” The man yelled. “If you are so curious on where my book has led to, go find it!”
“Understood, my lord...” the man, Shine, said.
Shine opened the door and left the dark room.
“He’s so full of himself. I don’t know why I have to call my best friend ‘my lord’ and not ‘Ren’.” Shine mumbled to himself as he walked out of the house. “And he’s just sending me out because he’s worried about HIS book. I could care less about a magically possessed book.”
~~~~~~~~~
“Roy! You have to stay home this coming Saturday” the boy’s mother said to him.
“How come, mother? Are you going somewhere?” the boy, Roy, asked
“We are invited to a masquerade this Saturday”
“Please don’t tell me you are going to wear your so called party dress. It looks dreadful on you, mother”
“Don’t talk about my beautiful pink dress, you foolish boy! That was a gift from your father to me before he died.”
“But mother, you married a wealthy man. Doesn’t he buy you pretty dresses?”
“Shut up, boy! I don’t need to hear your opinions. Just know that you have to stay home on Saturday” Roy’s mother said to the boy before leaving the house.
“Well... Today is Thursday and more time to read my book” the boy smiled to himself.
He ran to his room and grabbed the book. “Today is a great day, I think reading outside won’t be too bad.”
And with that the boy ran out of the house, with the book at hand and some food.

Chapter 4

~~~~~~~~~~
“Well this is where I left the book, but where could it be?” Shine asked himself as he walked around the outskirts of town. “I’ll just say some beggar took it to use it as toilet paper”
As Shine was about to start walking, a book has caught his eye. It was pitch black as the night sky with embossed pink letters that added into words, presenting the words “Welcome to the Pink Masquerade”.
“That book looks familiar...” Shine said. It took him a while that it was the book he was talking about earlier. “A boy is reading it? That doesn’t sound too good. I’ll just say that a beggar is using it as toilet paper, since it has a lot of pages”
~~~~~~~~~~
Finally the day of the party came. Children and elders stayed at home, hoping for the rest of their family members to return back from Party Monstar Kingdom.
“Welcome to Party Monstar Kingdom, we present you our king, Tar!” the hideous man in pink shouted to the villagers of Lollipop Kingdom.

A man in black clothing with pink on his jacket came out from the darkness of the forest.

“Welcome Lollipop Kingdom! I’m sorry to hear that your king will not be participating on my party... There’s one place we get to burn down” Tar laughed. “I am only joking; I know how lazy that man is. So lazy that he could care less that his kingdom will be on fire”

The villagers scratched at their skins because it felt as if the color pink and black were contaminating them.

“Please do not be alarmed when you go back home and find it burnt down. It means that someone has not followed our directions and failed to save your homes.” King Tar smiled. “Please, think of this party, a masquerade, a night that you can never forget!”

The doors to the castle of Party Monstar Kingdom opened. A feeling of death surrounded the villagers of Lollipop Kingdom.

“Enter and enjoy your night...” the man wearing pink gloves said.
“Hey Ruki, don’t scare these people.” a man with a black nose band said to the short man wearing pink gloves.
“Oh shut it, Kira. I love seeing people scared and suffer.” the man, Ruki, laughed.

The people of Party Monstar Kingdom laughed and gave a ‘warm’ welcome as the villagers of Lollipop Kingdom entered the castle.
~~~~~~~~~~
Shine came in the house, to tell his best friend, of what happened to the book.
“So... What happened to my beautiful book?” Ren asked.
“Some beggar found it and he’s using it as toilet paper” Shine lied.
“Toilet paper? TOILET PAPER?!” Ren yelled. “I wrote that wonderful story for a reason and now some beggar is using it as toilet paper? You’re lying aren’t you?” Ren guessed.
Shine flinched and laughed. “Of course I’m not lying, my lord”
Ren looked at Shine suspiciously. “Tell me what really happened to my book, or no cheesecake for you.”
Shine pouted. He would kill anyone who took away his favorite dessert, but to use his favorite food against him to know the truth was too much for him.
Shine sighed. “A boy, around the age of seven, has possession of the book. I don’t know if the boy will continue the story, but I have a really bad feeling about this...”
Ren laughed. “Oh shut up, Shine. You worry too much.”
Chapter 5
~~~~~~~~~~
The boy, Roy, turned the page, but it was empty.
“What the? This is it? This thick book has nothing, but a few pages written...” Roy raised an eyebrow. “This is just plain weird...”

He continued to flip through the pages only to see blank white pages.
“Can I write on this or something?” Roy flipped the pages until it reached to the last cover that showed a letter.

“To whomever found this book:
Continue writing in this book... And a reward will be given to you...
By: Anonymous ~R~”

“Anonymous... R? So I can write in this?” Roy mumbled to himself. “If that’s that case... I will write something.”

The boy, Roy, took a hold of his pencil and started writing to what would happen to the villagers of Lollipop Kingdom.

What is to become of the Lollipop Kingdom? Will it be a pool of fire or will all the villagers of Lollipop Kingdom come home and reunite with their family?

“Paint. Dye to Pink”
